We are a team of software experts united by a shared ambition: well-designed architecture, clean engineering, and software that works reliably over the long term.
Our Story
NeverNull® began as a startup focused on mobile app development in 2016. Supported by the EXIST startup grant, we developed the MobileUI Framework – the first Java and Kotlin framework for cross-platform app development with a native user interface.
With the founding of NeverNull® GmbH in 2018, we were able to further deepen our development activities and deliver our first customer projects using the MobileUI Framework. During this time, we gained extensive experience in software product development. A software framework requires exceptionally high quality, outstanding documentation, and a certain something to truly enhance developer productivity.
Since 2020, we have been offering software development services built on these foundations, with a strong focus on productivity and software quality. With over 30 years of experience, we help our customers build sustainable and valuable software solutions.

Daniel is co-founder of NeverNull. As Software Architect and Lead Developer with over 20 years of experience, he enjoys working with clients to turn complex ideas into high-quality software. From gathering requirements to thoughtful architecture and high-quality implementation with Java, Kotlin and more.
Henrik Wirth
Software Engineer
Henrik is co-founder of NeverNull and Software Engineer with more than 15 years of experience specialized in sophisticated full-stack web development. He enjoys the creation of complex systems with modern technologies such as Jamstack architectures and AI-powered components.
Prof. Dr. Ansgar Gerlicher
Technical Consultant & Customer Relations
Ansgar is co-founder of NeverNull and Professor in Computer Science. He supports sophisticated software projects from initial idea to implementation. With over 30 years of experience and his work in research and teaching at Stuttgart Media University (HdM), he brings important and current insights from software development into practice.
Eva Ströbele
Management Assistant
Eva supports the NeverNull team with client communication, scheduling, and office administration, including equipment management and procurement.
